A STUDENT WENT A HILL STATION EARLY IN THE MORNING HE COULD HEAR THE ECHO OF HIS CLAP AFTER 0.1 SEC.WHEN HE WENT TO THE SMAE PLACE IN THE AFTERNOON HE COULD NOT HEAR THE ECHO AT ALL .EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR HIS CHANGED OBSERVATION

From the given facts it is clear that the distance between the hills it is marginal condition for producing echo.
In the afternoon, the speed of sound changes with the weather condition such that the minimum distance of hearing echo becomes more than 17 m.
So no echo is formed in the afternoon.
