a storage tank is in the form of cube when it is full of water the volume of water is 15.625m3. if the present depth of water is 1.3m find the volume of water used

dear student,
let the edge of the cube be x m.
so
volume=
=15.625
so
x=2.5 m
so area of the base= x * x=6.25 sq m
so if the depth of water is 1.3 m,
then
vol of water in the tank=area of the base x (height or depth of water)=6.25 x 1.3
