a stone tied to the end of string 80 cm long is whirled in a horizontal circle with a constant speed

Here ,length, l = 80 cm
ω = 14 x 2 / 25 = 88 /25 rad /s
Therefore, acceleration of stone
a = l ω2 = 80 ( 88 /25 )2 = 991.2 cm /s2
= 9.91 m /s2
Since the motion of stone is circular motion, therefore, acceleration of stone at any instant is directed towards the centre along the radius.
