a solid weighs 10N in air if it loss in weight when weighed in water is 2N what is density of the solid

Expert Answer:

 Wt. in air = 10 N
Loss of wt. in water =2N
Relative Density, R.D=
= 10/2 =5
Density of solid = Relative density x density of water at 40 C.
                      = 5  x 1000kg/m3
