The slant height of the so formed cone will be the radius of the semicircle and the perimeter of the base circle is the diameter of the original semicircle.

Hence s = 14 cm and 2πr = 28 cm, r = 14/π

The depth = (s2-r2)1/2 = 13.27 cm

Volume = πr2h/3 = π(14/π)2(13.27)/3 =  276.11 cm3
