a rectangular field has to be cut out and its boundary marked with fencing with a given wire of length 100m .Represent the above situation using a. also plot its graph linear equation

Let length = x and breadth = y

Perimeter = 2(x + y)

Now, length of wire required for fencing will be equal to the perimeter of the rectangle.

So, 2(x + y) = 100

x + y - 50 = 0

This is the required equation representing the given situation. The graph of this equation is as below.
