A ray of light enters a diamond from air . If the refractive index of diamond is 2.42 , by what percent does the speed of light reduce on entering the diamond

Refractive index μ = c/v . where c and v are speed of light in air and refracting medium respectively.
hence v = c/μ = c/2.42 = 0.413×c
hence speed of light in diamond is reduced to 41.3% of original value in air
