A PLANE MIRROR IS KEPT AT A DISTANCE OF 0.45cm IN FRONT OF A CONVEX MIRROR WITH THE SILVERED SIDE OF THE PLANE MIRROR FACING THE CONVEX MIRROR . AN OBJECT IS PLACED ON THE AXIS OF THE CONVEX MIRROR SUCH THAT ITS IMAGE FORMED ON BOTH THE MIRRORS COINCIDE WITHOUT PARALLAX. IF THE DISTANCE OF THE OBJECT FROM THE PLANE MIRROR IS 0.6m , FIND THE FOCAL LENGTH OF THE CONVEX MIRROR.

Expert Answer:
Say AB is the object whose image due to the plane mirror is formed at A'B' at equal distance away from the plane mirror at the other side.
at the same place the image of the object due to the convex mirror is also formed.
so for the convex mirror,
u=-1.05 cm
v=0.6-0.45=0.15 cm
f=?
