A plane is inclined at angle of 30degree with the horizontal . Calculate the component of vector 10k^ perpendicular to this plane. Consider the z direction is vertically upwards.

Let the given plane makes 30° angle below with x-axis.  Let OA be a vector of magnitude 10 units and its direction is along z-axis
 
Component of OA along the normal to the given plane is 10 cos30 = 10(√3/2) = 8.66 units
