A particle is moving under constant force it's distance (x) depend on time according to following relations : t=√x +3, then calculate displacement of particle at that time when it's velocity will be zero?

t = begin mathsize 14px style square root of x end style + 3
 begin mathsize 14px style square root of x end style = ( t - 3 )
Hence position x at time t is given as
 
x = (t-3)2 ....................................(1)
 
velocity v = dx/dt = 2 (t-3)   ......................... (2)
 
we get velocity v = 0 at t =3 from eqn.(2)
 
Initial position x at t = 0 is obtained from eqn.(1)
 
at t = 0 , x(0) = 9
 
position x at t = 3 is obtained from eqn.(1)
 
at t = 3 , x(3) = 0
 
displacement S at t = 3  is given as
 
S = x(3) - x(0) = 0 - 9 = -9
