A particle is moving along a straight line with a speed V=(0.5t^3-8t)m/s. where t is in seconds. determine the acceleration of the particle when t=2s.

Differentiate v to get the acceleration, a.
v = 0.5t3 -8 t
dv/dt =a = 3*0.5*t2 -8
a = 1.5 * 22-8
a= 6.0 - 8
