a n-type semiconductor has large number of electrons,but still is electrically neutral.Why?

Though the  n- type semiconductor has large number of electrons it  is electrically neutral. Because the negative charge of the free electrons in the n-type semiconductor is exactly balanced by the positive charge of the immobile ions.
