A multiplex sells tickets under two classes, classic at ₹120 and delux at₹225.if 60 tickets in all were sold for a show that earned₹9825,how many tickets of each class were sold?

Let the number of classic tickets = x
→the number of delux tickets = 60 - x
Accroding to the condition,
120x + 225(60 -x) = 9825
→105x=3725
→x = 35

Therefore the number of classic and delux ticket which are sold out is 35 and 25 respectively.

ICSE Class 8 Maths Linear Equations The answer maybe rechecked. Ans: Let B's age= x Then A's age= x+5 5years ago: B's age was= (x-5)yrs A's age was= (x+5-5)yrs = x yrs As per question: A's age/B' age= 3/2 x/x-5=3/2 2x=3x-15 3x-2x=15 B's Present age = x=15 yrs(Ans) A's present age= x+5= 15+5= 20 yrs(Ans) But, The answer given in the uploaded video are 5 yrs and 10 yrs Please recheck this.
