Expert Answer:

In Kinematics topic of Physics, we study the relation between distance, speed and time taken.
Suppose a car is moving along a straight line with uniform speed 'v'.
The distance 'd' travelled by the car is directly proportional to its speed.
d space proportional to space v
If the car travels a  distance of 100 km at a speed of 30 kmh, in the same time to find the distance travelled at a speed of 45 kmh, we can use Proportionality technique of maths.
d subscript 1 equals 100 comma space v subscript 1 equals 30 space k m h d subscript 2 equals ? comma space v subscript 2 equals 45 space k m h U sin g space d i r e c t space p r o p o r t i o n a l i t y space o f space m a t h s comma space d subscript 1 over d subscript 2 equals v subscript 1 over v subscript 2 rightwards double arrow 100 over d subscript 2 equals 30 over 45 rightwards double arrow d subscript 2 equals 150 space k m
The above is an example of application of maths in Physics.
