In Kinematics topic of Physics, we study the relation between distance, speed and time taken.
Suppose a car is moving along a straight line with uniform speed 'v'.
The distance 'd' travelled by the car is directly proportional to its speed.

If the car travels a  distance of 100 km at a speed of 30 kmh, in the same time to find the distance travelled at a speed of 45 kmh, we can use Proportionality technique of maths.
