A lens used as a magnifier gives magnification of 6.what is its power and focal lenght?

Magnification, m = v/u
or, m = 6 = v/u
i.e. v = 6u
We know that, 1/f = 1/v + 1/u ; putting the above value of v and u in this equation, you may find the focal length.
Once the focal length is known, power can be calculated as P = 1/ f (in m)
Hope this helps.
