A lends ₹2500 to B and a certain sum to C at the same time at 7% per annum simple interest . If,after 4 years , A altogether receives ₹1120 as interest from B and C , find the sum lent to C

Expert Answer
Interest from B = pnR/100 = 2500×4×(7/100) = Rs. 700
Hence Interest from C = Rs. 1120 - Rs. 700 = Rs. 420
pnR/100 = p×4×(7/100) = 420
hence p = 420×100 / (7×4) = Rs. 1500
hence Sum lent to C = Rs. 1500
