A hemispherical  depression  is  cut  out  from  one  face  of  cubical  block  of  side  7cm,  such  that                   the  diameter  of  the  hemisphere  is  equal  to  the  edge  of  the  cube.  Find  the  surface  area  of  the remaining  of  solid.

Surface area of remaining solid = 72 (5 + 22/7 x 2) = 49 x (14+44)/7 = 7 x (58) = 406 cm2
