a gun is able to fire 30 shots of 30g per minute with initial speed of 200m/s These shots are fired on a metallic sheet that hangs in air. Find out the weight of metallic sheet.

let the mass of sheet be m
the rate of tranfer of mementum to the plate by the bullets is, dp/dt = 30(30/1000)(200)/60 = 3 kgm/ss = force transferred to the plate = F
(by the second law of motion)
thus F = mg = 3
m = 0.3 kg
