answered-by-expert Expert Answer
total surface area of the cuboid is given by 2 ( lb + bh + lh)
hence  2 ( lb + bh + lh ) = 372  sq

lateral surface area is given by  2 ( hl + hb)
2 ( hl + hb)  = 180 sq cm

2 ( lb + bh + lh ) = 372  sq

ie  2lb + 2bh + 2hl = 372

    2lb + 2( hl + hb) = 372

    2lb +  180 = 372

              2lb =  372 - 180 =  192

               2lb = 192

                 lb = 96 sq cm

since , the base of cuboid is rectangle . the area of the base is lb

hence the area of the base of this cuboiud is 96 sq cm
