A crowbar of length 10 m has a fulcrum at a distance of 4 m from one end. Calculate the effort required to lift a load of 120 N.

distance of fulcrum from one end = 4 m
Total length = 10 m
Load = 120 N
distance of fulcrum from other end = 10 - 4 = 6 m
Load x load arm = Effort x effort arm
120 x 4 = Effort x 6
(120 x 4)/ 6 = Effort
Effort = 80 N
