a convex mirror used as a rare view mirror in a bus of focal length 200 cm.if a scooter is located at 400 cm from the mirror,find the position,nature and magnification of the image formed in the mirror

f = 200 cm
u = -400 cm
 
From the mirror equation, we have
 
 
Thus, image is on the other side of object. Thus, it is virtual.
 
The magnification is m = -v/u = -133.3/-400 = 0.33.
Thus, image is diminished and erect.
