a concxave mirror of focal lenght "f" and forms image "n" times the object . if the image is real then the distance of the object from the mirror

magnification=n=-v/u=h1/h2
 
so v=- nu.
 
now in the mirror formula eliminate v, by using above relation and one can find u in terms of focal length.
