A car weighs 200kg.The weight is evenly distributed on four wheels.If pressure in each tyre is 15kgwt/cm square.what is the area of tyre in contact.

The weight of car is = W = 200 × 9.8 kg wt.
This weight is distributed evenly on all four tyres.
Thus, force on one tyre is = F = 50 × 9.8 kg wt.
Pressure on one tyre = P = 15 kg wt/cm2.
 
Thus, area of one tyre in contact with the ground is
