CBSE Class 12-science Answered
a capacitor of capacitance c,is being charged up by connecting it across a d.c voltage source of voltage v. How do the conductance and displacement currents, in this setup change :
(a)- during charging up process
(b)- after the capacitor gets fully charged

Expert Answer
as the current (conduction current set up) through the surface corresponds to the changing electric field(this corresponds to displacement current) so they must be equal during charging.
during discharging also the rate of discharging or the rate of decreasing of electric fld correspondsa to conduction current, so both diaplacement and conduction current will be equal.
