WE know, R = u2sin2θ / g
Therefore the ratio of horizontal ranged R1 and R2 for angle of projections θ 1 and θ 2 is
R1/ R2 = sin2θ1 / sin2θ2
Therefore, sin2θ2 = R2sin2θ1 / R1
Here, θ1 = 30o , R1 = 3km , R2 = 5 km
so, sin2θ2 = sin 60o x ( 5/3) = 1.443 ( greater than 1 )
which is not possible .
Therefore, it is not possible to hit the target by adjusting the angle.
