A bomb is dropped from a plane flying horizontally with uniform speed . Show that the bomb will explode vertically below the plane. Is the statement true if the plane flies with uniform speed but not horizontally?

If we nglect the air resistance, then the horizontal velocity of the bomb will remain same.
Thus, even when its velocity in the downward direction will increase, its velocity in ghorizontal direction will remain same due to no force on it in that direction.
Thus in the same time, the horizontal distance travelled by the plane will be equal to the horizontal distance travelled by the bomb
