A body of mass 5 kg is initially at rest is subjected to a force of 20N. find the kinetic energy accquired by the body at the end of 10 seconds.

Given that m = 5 kg

F = 20 N

u = 0

t = 10 s

v = ?

KE = ?

Acceleration 

= 4 m/s2

Apply Kinematic Equation

v = u + at

v = 0 + (4) × (10)

v = 40 m/s

Hence K.E acquired by a body

K.E = 0.5 mv 2

= 0.5 × 5 × (40)2

= 0.5 × 5 × 1600

= 4000 J
