Suppose,the density of the given solution is d g/ml
Mass of KOH in 1 litre solution=6.9 x 56=386.4g
Mass of 1 litre solution = 1000 xdg
Since the solution contains 30% by mass of KOH, we have
 (1000 x d) x 30
                       ----= 386.4
 
                       100
 
            386.4 x100
Or d =---------------------= 1.288g/ml
 
             1000x30
