Expert Answer:

Molar mass of ethanol =12 X2 + 1 X 6 + 16
Molar mass of ethanol =46 g
Moles of ethanol= 6/46= 0.13 moles
Molar mass of water = 1 X2 +16 =18g
Moles of water= 100/18 = 5.5
Total number of moles = 5.5 + 0.13= 5.63
Mole fraction of ethanol = 0.13/5.63= 0.023
Mole fraction of water = 5.5/5.63 = 0.976
