volume of the ball = 4/3 * pi * r3 = 792/7   , where r is the radius of the ball.

solving this we get r = 3cm

so surface area of the ball A = 4*pi*r2 = 792/7 cm2

so volume of the leather used = A*0.5 = 396/7 cm3
