Angle 2x = 2y(alternate angles)

so x = y So one pair of opposite sides of the quadrilateral formed are parallel.

Similarly z = w <,so other pair of opposite sides of the quadrilateral formed are parallel.

The quadrilateral is a //gm. Now 2x+2z = 180 deg (linear pair) so x +z = 90 deg

The //gm is a rectangle
