Expert Answer

In parallel , total power = P1 + P2

i.e. P = 40 + 60 = 100 W

In series

 total power = V 2 / ( R1 + R2 )

Now, R1 = 40 / 220 , R2 = 60 / 220

Use the above relation and values to calculate the power in series.
