The Bolivian war was fought over the control of water resources. Many people belonging to different professional, academic, social and economic backgrounds came out together to protest against the water woes of the country. This war reflects that pressure groups can influence the decisions of the government by directly participating in politics. This can be done by mobilizing people, generating public opinion and contesting public elections. But not every pressure group can contest elections. Under this scenario, activities may be undertaken by the interest or the pressure group to promote their views or the opinions. This war also tells us that no organization can take away the right of people on using essential commodities. If this happens, then people may organise themselves and can lead a movement from the front.
