The image which can be obtained on a screen is called real image. The real image can be obtained on the screen when light rays coming from object actually meet at a point after reflection from a mirror. When light rays actually pass through a real image, A real image obtained on screen. Real images formed by a concave mirror.
The iamge which cannot be obtained on a screen is called a virtual iamge. A virtual image is obtained when light rays coming from an object only appear to meet a point when produced backwards after reflection from a mirror. A virtual image cannot obtained on the screen because light rays do not actually pass through virtual image.
