NEET Class neet Answered
11th physics ch 2 k=p^2/2m relative error
Asked by Jigarvora18 | 15 Jul, 2019, 23:56: PM
Expert Answer
kinetic energy K = (1/2)p2/m ..........................(1)
where p is momentum and m is mass. Let us assume mass remains constant.
if we differentiate eqn.(1), we get, dK = p dp/m .................(2)
by dividing eqn.(2) with eqn.(1), we get relative error, dK/K = 2 dp/p
