Lennard-Jones potential function,  U(r) = Uo [ (a/r)12 - (a/r)6 ] .....................(1)
 
For conservative force F = -dU/dr
 
F = - Uo [ -a12 (1/r)11 + a6 (1/r)5 ] = Uo a6 [ a6 (1/r)11 - (1/r)5 ]
