Consider the following figure.
Join AC, OA, OB and OC.
Given that BO is the angle bisector of angle ABC.
That is, angle O B A equals angle O B C.
Here OB and OC are the radii of the circle.
Angles opposite to equal sides are equal.
Therefore, angle O B C equals angle O C B
Again, OC and OA are the radii of the circle and hence, angle O C A equals angle O A C
Also, OB and OA are the radii of the circle and so, angle O A B equals angle O B A
Thus, from the above equations of angles, angle A equals angle B equals angle C
Sides opposite to equal angles are equal and hence AB=AC.
