Consider the following figure.
Join AC, OA, OB and OC.
Given that BO is the angle bisector of angle ABC.
That is, .
Here OB and OC are the radii of the circle.
Angles opposite to equal sides are equal.
Therefore,
Again, OC and OA are the radii of the circle and hence,
Also, OB and OA are the radii of the circle and so,
Thus, from the above equations of angles,
Sides opposite to equal angles are equal and hence AB=AC.
