Assuming that the number of anions   =  a ; thus the number of tetrahedral voids = 2a. 
As per the question , the number of Cations  = 1 /3  x 2a  = 2a / 3.
 
Number of Cations         2a  /3          2
----------------------  =    -------  =    ---
Number of anions.              a             3
 
 
The formula of the compound is     M2N3.
