The gases responsible for the greenhouse effect are CO2, CH4, O3, CFC.
These gases absorb solar heat energy and radiate back into the atmosphere. Due to this atmosphere gets heated. It results into weather changes, which is essential for the survival of life. Without greenhouse gases, the temperature of earth would decrease drastically and would make it unhabitable.
