CBSE Class 11-science Answered

1:There are 3 pants and 2 shirts .the total no of pairs of pants and shirt are 3 X 2 2:total no of ways by which 7 toys can be distributed among 3 bowls is 3X3X3X3X3X3X3 Why is the answer of 1st question 3X2 and the answer of 2nd question 3X3X3X3X3X3X3? Will you please explain the difference between these two questions?

 In question 1,we are talking about pair of pants and shirts,a shirt can have only 1 pant.in second question a bowl can contain any no. of toys so for every toy there are 3 options,so total no. of ways=3^7

Here we multiply,because according to counting principle till an event is being completed we multiply.
