Expert Answer:
- Indoor plants should be kept in sunlight periodically so that they are not deprived of light and they do not perish because of absence of light.
- Date palms are seen only in deserts because they thrive in sandy or saline soil as long as an abundant supply of underground water is available. The huge leaves are made to survive a hot, dry climate, and adapt the tree to long summers without rain, but the palm needs a source of regular water.
