Let p be constant pressure, Vi is initial volume, Vf is final volume, n is number of moles and Ti is initial temperature 300 K
 
Workdone at constant pressure, W = p(Vf - Vi) = p(3Vi - Vi) = 2pV=  2×n×R×Ti = 2×0.5×8.3×300 = 2.49 kJ
