Hi Mahaveer,

Because universal gravitation constant G is independent of

  • Medium between the two bodies
  • Masses of the two bodies
  • Distance of separation between the two bodies

Its value remains the same in the entire Universe.

The value of G = 6.67 x 10-11 N m2/kg2.
