After scoring a blistering, unbeaten 111 in the final match of the U-19 World Cup, all eyes are on team skipper Unmukt Chand who could well be India's star player in the future.
Sunday's ton was Unmukt's fifth century in international cricket and he scored 246 runs across six matches in the tournament. Pundits are already saying that he could be India's next Virat Kohli.
Born in 1993, Unmukt started playing cricket at the age of 6 and hails from Delhi. He attends St Stephen's college and is pursuing a BA programme. He trained under Sanjay Bhardwaj, who has also coached the likes of Gautam Gambhir.
Unmukt has represented Delhi in the Under-15, Under-16 and Under-19 teams. He has been the captain of the Delhi U-19 and North U-19 teams.
