Sigmund Freud’s most famous theory is the Oedipus complex. How did Freud establish this theory? He dedicated himself to record his dreams in order to determine the root of his own neuroses. During this self-analysis, Freud came to the conclusion that his problems were due to the reserved desire for his mother and his feelings of anger towards his father because of jealously over his mother’s affections. This is how he succeeded in forming the base of his famous Oedipus complex theory. Image source: www.sechaber.com.tr
