High Speed Rail
High-speed rail (HSR) or Bullet train is a type of passenger rail transport that operates significantly faster than the normal speed of rail traffic. The modern high-speed rail era started on 6th October 1903. An electrical railcar from Siemens & Halske sped away at 203 km/h (126 mph) on the military railway track between Marienfeld and Zossen in Germany. However, the true HSR breakthrough started in Japan. in October 1964, just in time for the Olympics, they opened the first modern high speed rail, the Shinkansen, Tokaido Shinkansen.
