When 50mL of 2M solution of Nitrogen Pentoxide was heated, 0.28L of Oxygen gas at NTP was formed after 30 minutes. Calculate the concentration of unreacted Nitrogen Pentoxide at that time and also find the average rate of reaction.

Initial no of moles of N2O5  = 0.5moles
After 30 min the no of moles of N2O5 used   : by the equation
2N2O5 ? 4NO2 + O2
are 44.8 X 0.28 /22.4  = .56L or .025 moles
So unreacted no of moles = 0.1 -.025 = .075 moles
Concentration =.075moles / litre
average reaction rate = .1 - .075 /30-0
                               = 8 x 10 -4 mol/lit min
