Dear student,
Rh is short for Rhesus factor.  Rhesus factor is a type of antigen present on the surface of red blood cells.  If this antigen is present, the person is Rh positive. If absent, the person is said to be Rh negative.
Rh positive is dominant over Rh negative.
The Rh factor is important in determining blood type for transfusions. It is also significant during pregnancies, especially is the mother is Rh negative and the child is Rh positive.
