the hydrogen that is attached to chloroform is acidic. why? n if it i so then when a hydrogen will be basic? on what basis we differentiate it?

Chloroform reacts with base where hydrogen from chloroform  combines with it to form water. hence the hydrogen in chloroform is acidic. where as Hydrogen can act as acid , base and neutral also.
