Through Stoke's law experiment:
The liquid whose viscosity is to be measured is filled in a long vertical tube where a scale is inscribed.
Spherical balls(can be metallic if the liquid is very thick or mastard seeds in case the liquid is light)are dropped one by one.
after the ball drops through a certain distance, stop watch is made on and time of its fall through a certain deistance is noted.
From the above noted time and distance, its terminal velocity is found out.
Like this way terminal velocity of a number of balls are fpund out.
Also the radius of the balls are noted.
The density of balls and density of liquid is found
and put in the equation:
